Legal Counsel, Northern Europe

We are looking to hire a Legal Counsel based in Vilnius, Lithuania or in Tallinn (global HQ) to support our markets in the Northern EU, including Baltics, Nordics, and DACH & Netherlands.

Please note that this is a full-time permanent employment opportunity. The yearly gross salary for this role ranges from 38,400€ to 58,000€ and will depend on your skills, knowledge, and experience. The salary range applies exclusively to this employment opportunity in Lithuania.

About the role

As a Legal Counsel, you'll draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as lease agreements, licensing agreements, cooperation agreements with partners, supplier agreements, and terms and conditions as well as handle a range of topics, including corporate and compliance, consumer and labor protection, administrative and competition law cases, public procurement, marketing, intellectual property, payment services, and advertising.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day legal support to Bolt in Northern EU with a focus on ride-hailing, Bolt Business, and Bolt Food business lines by working closely with (Senior) Legal Counsels responsible for sub-regions for guidance as you attend to daily business inquiries.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements such as lease agreements, licensing agreements, cooperation agreements with partners, supplier agreements, and terms and conditions; streamlining legal processes and ensuring compliance as the company grows.
Manage requests from consumer, labour, tax, language, transportation, and other authorities, as well as all stages of pre-trial and court cases, with the assistance of external counsel when required.
Handle a range of topics, including corporate and compliance, consumer and labour protection, administrative and competition law cases, public procurement, marketing, intellectual property, payment services and advertising.
Drive change and development as business scales; Provide legal advice to the product, engineering, sales, business development and country teams of Bolt in Northern EU in all phases of the product development, roll out, and expansion within the region.
Work closely with the other corporate and legal functions, supervise and coordinate external legal support, to ensure the right level of oversight that can protect and promote Bolt’s business.
What we expect
About you:
You are a qualified lawyer in one of the markets belonging to the Northern EU and either based in Tallinn or Vilnius.
You have between 3 to 5 years of professional experience (excluding internships), preferably at a law firm or an international company.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Lithuanian (must have).
You have previous experience with employment matters, public tenders, administrative matters, T&C-s, general contract review and/or consumer protection.
You are independent, proactive, creative, and business-minded, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership, and a “consider-it-done” attitude.
