About the role
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you'll provide expert legal advice on employment, commercial, and regulatory issues specific to the UK transportation and ride-hailing industry ensuring compliance with local legislation.
What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice on employment, commercial and regulatory issues specific to the UK transportation and ride-hailing industry ensuring compliance with local legislation.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements such as lease agreements, licensing agreements, cooperation agreements with partners, supplier agreements and terms and conditions; streamlining legal processes and ensuring compliance as the company grows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tax, Regulatory, Privacy, and other teams, to provide cohesive legal and compliance advice.
Provide day-to-day legal support for UK market-specific projects, including advising on product launches, marketing initiatives, and operational activities. Support corporate governance and housekeeping for the UK subsidiary/subsidiaries.
Adapt to changes in assigned markets and/or specific projects, as deemed necessary by the direct manager, based on Bolt’s growth and evolving team workloads.
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, including product, business, finance and marketing, teams, ensuring alignment with business goals while mitigating legal risks.

What we expect
About you:

You are a UK-qualified lawyer with between 5 to 9 years post-qualification experience (PQE), preferably at a law firm or an international company.
Strong expertise in UK employment and commercial law, ideally within the transportation, technology, or ride-hailing sectors. Knowledge of corporate law is a strong plus.
Solid business acumen and the ability to balance commercial priorities with legal risks effectively.
Proven track record of working autonomously on complex legal matters while managing multiple stakeholders.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across diverse teams.
Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments is highly desirable.
