Product Counsel - Rentals (Micromobility, Bolt Drive & other business lines)
We’re looking for a Product Counsel to support Bolt’s Rentals vertical — Europe’s largest shared e-scooter fleet and growing car rental service via Bolt Drive. You’ll work across our app, website, and back-end services, partnering closely with product, engineering, and policy teams to ensure compliance as we scale fast.

About the role
As a Product Counsel, you will use your legal knowledge and commercial rationale to collaborate on exciting new product initiatives and to provide best practice guidance in a demanding and fast-moving environment.
What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Own legal support for the Rentals Vertical (Micromobility + Bolt Drive) – advise on vehicle safety rules, hardware and fleet acquisition, parking & city permits, transport law, consumer and product-safety requirements across 25+ EU / EEA markets.
Guide platform-wide launches – review app, website and service changes for GDPR, e-commerce, Digital Services Act, AI Act, Product Safety and Liability Regulations.
Draft & negotiate key contracts – hardware supply, IoT / telematics, city tenders, insurance, commercial partnerships.
Shape scalable processes – build self-serve playbooks, standard terms, risk matrices and training so product teams can ship fast and safely.
Collaborate across Bolt – work daily with Product, Policy, Engineering, Growth, Marketing and Management plus manage external counsel when specialised local input is needed.
Monitor regulatory change – track EU mobility, tech-platform and sustainability rules; brief stakeholders and adjust roadmaps early.
What we expect
About you:

You’re an EU-qualified lawyer with 2–5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in the tech, mobility, or regulated platform space—whether in-house or at a top-tier firm.
You’re a hands-on product counsel who enjoys diving deep into features, spotting potential issues early, and offering pragmatic, business-friendly solutions.
You're a strong contract drafter and negotiator - clear, commercially minded, and firm when needed.
You bring broad regulatory know-how, confidently navigating privacy, consumer, platform, and transport laws. Bonus if you're familiar with sustainability or battery circularity regulations.
You have a bias for action - well-organised, decisive, and able to deliver on deadlines.
You have a business-partner mindset: you speak the language of engineers and product managers, and you're skilled at translating legal risk into smart product decisions
