Payroll Accountant

We’re looking for a detail-driven Payroll Accountant to join our global finance team, supporting payroll processes across 46 countries and 50 entities. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills while making a real impact on our worldwide operations.Location: Tallinn, Estonia

About the role

The Payroll Accountant is responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee reimbursements across multiple global markets. This unique, centralized role offers exposure to a wide range of data, geographies, and accounting frameworks, working closely with country accountants, payroll teams, and external auditors. You’ll have the opportunity to help build scalable processes from scratch within a collaborative, global finance team.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Manage monthly payroll general ledger (GL) closing and reconciliations.
Post accruals, adjustments, and allocate costs accurately.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local payroll regulations.
Collaborate closely with Payroll Operations, Regional Accounting, and Controlling.
Support audits and continuous process improvements.
Partner with the Engineering team to drive payroll automation.

About you:

You have 5+ years of experience in accounting or payroll-related general ledger (GL) closing.
You are comfortable working with multi-country financial processes.
You have strong Excel skills.
You are analytical, organised, and curious, ready to learn and take on new challenges.
You are an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams and borders.
