Accounts Payable Specialist

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in Tallinn on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you’ll be responsible for invoice processing, compliance, and day-to-day operations, while also contributing to process improvements and service quality across our international finance function.Location: Tallinn, Estonia

About the role

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery by meeting daily operational goals and driving continuous improvement. They bring strong knowledge of their function, including country-specific finance processes, and support both the team and stakeholders in daily tasks. The role focuses on executing operational duties while identifying and implementing more efficient ways of working.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Process and authorize all invoices accurately and ensure payments are made to suppliers on time, while efficiently handling supplier queries.
Send reminders to invoice approvers to meet processing deadlines and maintain smooth workflow within the accounts payable function.
Support month-end closing activities and promptly resolve day-to-day issues as they arise.
Proactively identify inefficiencies, recommend automation opportunities, and implement best practices to improve business processes.
Maintain up-to-date documentation and possess strong knowledge of relevant systems and processes.
Complete any additional tasks or responsibilities relevant to the accounts payable specialist role.

About you:

You have at least one year of working experience in finance or accounts payable.
You possess excellent English communication skills.
You have completed or are in the process of acquiring an education in Finance & Accounting, and you understand different aspects of accounting rules and regulations.
You have a keen eye for detail and consistently deliver high-quality work.
You demonstrate a “can-do” attitude, the ability to prioritise tasks, and strong teamwork skills, while also being able to work independently.
You bring depth of knowledge and an overall perspective in your area of expertise.
