E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP) is a permit that allows a private vehicle to operate as an E-Hailing Vehicle. In West Malaysia, the commercial vehicle licensing provider is known as APAD (Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat), while in East Malaysia, it is known as LPKP (Lembaga Pelesenan Kenderaan Perdagangan).

- Car grant
- PSV license
Requirements for EVP Application
- The vehicle's age limit must be bellow 15 years
- The vehicle owner must be a Malaysian citizen or a permanent resident, who is not deceased
- The Company IDs are not allowed
- Vehicle type should be anything other than “Pick-up” for West Malaysia
- The vehicle in the JPJ code must be either “AB” or “AD”
EVP Renewal Criteria
- The vehicle’s age must be below 15 years
- The vehicle owner’s IC is valid (not deceased)
- The usage code in JPJ must be “AH” (Persendirian E-hailing Individu). Do check our article E-hailing Car Declaration
EVP Cancellation for West Malaysia
When a driver wishes to change their current e-hailing vehicle to a different vehicle/new vehicle or to stop using the E-hailing service, the driver must fill in the EVP Cancellation Declaration Form ↗ to cancel their existing EVP.
There are two types of EVP Cancellation
- Temporary Cancellation
- No longer interested in driving with Bolt.
- Rental car
- Permanent Cancellation
- Car age more than 15 years
- Car owner deceased
- Change of vehicle ownership / details
- No longer interested to drive as E-Hailing driver (Conversion to private use car)
