Paid wait time fee is a charge which starts after a driver has arrived at your pickup location and has been waiting for a certain period of time. This fee helps compensate the driver's efforts and time spent waiting.
You will receive a notification when the paid wait time fee counter has begun, and it will continue until the driver starts the journey.

- All other UK cities: If you're unable to meet the driver at the pickup location in under 3 minutes and your request is cancelled, you will only be charged a trip cancellation fee.
Additional charges for waiting time may be applied if the driver waits for you at the intermediate destination.
The paid wait time fee is only charged if the journey takes place and is completed. Additional charges for waiting time may be applied based on the city and category, as described in the tables below.
Once the free waiting period for your category has elapsed, a per-minute wait time fee will begin to accrue and will continue until the driver starts the journey.
