Drivers in Thailand must provide the documents listed below to be considered for driving on the platform:
- Driving license
- National ID Card
- Vehicle registration
- Vehicle photo
- Driver profile picture
- Ror Yor 17 (Yellow plate) and Ror Yor 18 (Purple sticker) - recommended for DLT requirement
Vehicle Requirements for Registering as an App-Based Taxi
- Each driver can register only one vehicle under their name.
- The vehicle owner’s name must match the driver’s name (service provider).
- If the vehicle is owned by a close relative of the driver, the following additional documents are required:
- Power of Attorney from the vehicle owner granting permission to use the car.
- Proof of relationship confirming close relation, such as:
- Spouse (husband, wife, or same-sex spouse, etc.)
- Parent or legal guardian (father, mother, adoptive parent, etc.)
- Child or adopted child
- Relative with official documentation (fiancé, sibling, cousin, etc.)
- Co-resident with the same house registration (e.g., unmarried partner living together)
- The vehicle must be no more than 9 years old.
- No need to change to a yellow license plate, and there are no specific window film requirements.
- Vehicles under financing (with the registration book held by the finance company) can still be registered.
- The actual registration book must be temporarily retrieved for the registration day.
- Eligible vehicle characteristics:
- Must have at least 4 doors.
