Note: Availability and classification of Bolt categories vary depending on the demand in all cities and regions of Azerbaijan. If a high-value category that your vehicle is eligible for isn’t available in the area where you’re based, please select other available categories to operate. Consider that high-value categories are subject to activation in any region in accordance with increasing demand in future.
Frequently asked questions about ACRISS-Based Vehicle Classification
- What is ACRISS?
ACRISS (Association of Car Rental Industry Systems Standards) is a widely recognised vehicle classification standard. It categorises cars based on size, type, transmission, and fuel type, ensuring that vehicles are grouped in a way that aligns with passengers’ expectations.
- Why is Bolt adopting the ACRISS standard?
By adopting the ACRISS standard, we aim to provide a consistent and clear classification for both drivers and passengers. This ensures vehicles within the same category share similar characteristics, enhancing passenger satisfaction and improving our platform. It also makes it easier for drivers to understand which categories their vehicles are eligible for.
- How will this impact me as a driver?
We understand that these changes can affect you. Some drivers may qualify for new categories, while others might need to update their vehicles to remain in their current category. We're committed to supporting you throughout this transition, providing all necessary information and guidance, including a list of eligible vehicles for each category to help you find a suitable replacement if needed.
- Will this change my eligibility for certain categories?
It’s possible. As we align vehicles with ACRISS, you may find out that your vehicle qualifies for a different category or that adjustments are necessary. You’ll have 7 days to make any required changes. We'll ensure this transition is as smooth as possible.
- What if nothing changes for me?
If your vehicle already meets the ACRISS standards for your current category, there will be no changes. You can continue driving in your current category without updating your vehicle or changing any settings.
- Will my earnings change?
We understand your concern. While we cannot guarantee earnings, you will still be able to continue driving and earning in other eligible categories.
- What if my vehicle no longer qualifies for my current category?
If your vehicle is no longer qualified, you will receive a 7-day notice. We understand this can be challenging, but we've prepared a list of eligible vehicles for each category to help you find a suitable replacement. We'll provide all the necessary information to support you throughout this process.
- How can I make my vehicle eligible for a certain category again?
If your vehicle no longer meets the category requirements, upgrading to a model from the list of defined vehicles for each category will make you eligible for your desired category again.
- Will there be future updates to vehicle categories?
ACRISS standards may evolve over time, and Bolt may need to update vehicle categories to remain compliant with these changes. We commit to communicating any updates well in advance, giving you ample time to adjust and plan accordingly.
- How do I contact support if I need help?
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact support via the Bolt Driver app. We're here to ensure you have all the information you need and to provide assistance whenever necessary.
