What can you earn?
10% bonus for 2 weeks - once you upload your renewed document and it is approved by Bolt, you will receive a bonus equivalent to 10% of the value of all trips completed during the following 2 weeks.
An additional €50 after completing 25 trips - complete 25 trips during the following 2 weeks after your renewed document has been approved by Bolt and receive an additional €50 bonus.

How does the campaign work?
- Register for and complete the TVDE renewal course.
- Submit your renewal application to IMT before your certificate expires.
- Once you receive your renewed document, upload it to the Bolt Driver Portal.
- After the document is approved by Bolt, the 2-week period during which you can earn a 10% bonus on all completed trips will begin.
- Complete 25 trips during that 2-week period that starts after the document is approved to receive an additional €50.
Don’t let your licence expire You can complete the renewal course up to 6 months before your licence expires. If you do not submit your renewal application before the expiry date, you may have to repeat the initial training course, which is longer and more expensive. Start the process early to avoid any interruption to your ability to drive.
Everything you need to know
Duration: 8 hours Attendance: 100% mandatory — absences imply failure Final assessment: theoretical exam conducted by IMT, I.P. (Ordinance no. 344/2024/1, of 19–12) Registration form. After that, the training partner will contact you by email with the next steps.
- Valid for 5 years, renewable for equal periods.
- Must be renewed before expiration;
- You may attend the renewal course up to 6 months in advance.
- If the certificate expires, renewal is no longer possible — you will need to complete the initial training again to obtain a new certificate.

If you do not renew before expiration, you must submit medical and psychotechnical certificates to IMT.
If you are renewing before expiration:
-If you are under 50 years old, only a medical certificate is required.
-If you are over 50 years old, both a medical certificate and a psychotechnical exam are required.
-If your driver’s license already includes categories C or D, renewal of Group 2 is not required.
After the Course: What to Do
You will receive the training certificate from the school. Wait for the date of the theoretical exam from IMT. While waiting, submit your renewal request at imtonline.ptwith:
- TVDE Training Certificate
- Criminal Record
Once validated, the provisional license becomes available in “A Minha Carta,” allowing you to continue working until the evaluation.
