- Owning or leasing a fleet of company cars comes with too many financial variables — and you can’t be confident that business travel is the sole reason for travelling.
- With Bolt Business, you pay when a team member travels for work — not for extras like parking, maintenance, and repairs.
- A monthly service fee gives you access to a Company Dashboard for managing all areas of your entire team’s travel.
- Set spending limits to know that your team’s travel will be consistent and within budget every month.
- No sign-up fees. Create your Bolt Business account today.
Leave parking tickets, repair bills, and fuel prices in the past. Rather than handle these unpredictable outgoings, keep your business travel costs within budget by creating a Bolt Business account.
With Bolt Business, you can access a Company Dashboard to manage all areas of your team’s ground travel. By setting spending limits, your employees can only spend as much as you allow — giving you the confidence that travel spending will remain consistent and within budget.
Here’s everything you need to know about Bolt Business pricing. 👇
How Bolt Business pricing works
You can keep track of all business travel and know that they’ll never go over budget, and you get all of these additional benefits for a monthly service fee.
Create an account without sign-up fees
You can create a Bolt Business account and start managing business travel for your company without making any upfront payments. Only once your team starts travelling for work will you start paying — either by card with every order or by invoice once a month.
Upfront in-app travel prices
After adding your employees and setting spending limits, they’ll each see your company as a payment method in their Bolt app (along with complete visibility over how much they can spend).
When your business travellers open their Bolt app and search for their desired destination, they’ll see the estimated price of all the Bolt categories.
No more expense reports
By charging rides straight to the company, your employees don’t need to complete travel expense reports after their trips. Your employees will appreciate not using their money for travel expenses and waiting for reimbursement.
Travel as much or as little as needed
You don’t have to make a certain number of orders each month to keep your account active. Your team can travel as often as needed.
Bolt Business billing options
There are two ways to pay for your company’s work rides:
- A payment card where you pay for rides as they happen.
- Monthly postpaid invoice to pay for all trips taken in a month at once.
Make a card payment with every journey
Paying by credit or debit card means we make a transaction after every order. You’ll receive a monthly ride report for your records.
Pay for all rides once per month
The postpaid option allows you to pay for all your monthly orders simultaneously. To make this happen, you’ll need to pass a credit check.
How to pay the service fee
Paying the service fee looks different depending on how you pay for your company’s work rides (card or monthly payment).
If your company pays by card, you pay the service fee automatically. We’ll send you a service fee statement at the beginning of each month for your records.
With postpaid billing, the service fee is visible in the monthly invoice or statement, and you don’t need to make a separate payment.
Take complete control over employee spending
However you choose to pay, you’ll get complete control over your team’s business travel. Your employees, clients, or contractors can select your company as a payment method in their Bolt app.
They have a clear view of the total they can spend and how much they have remaining. They’ll never be able to spend more than the limit, so your company’s travel will always be within budget.

Bolt Business vs. Company cars
More than half of new cars sold every year are for company use. If your company is one of the many businesses reliant on company cars, then comparing the costs makes sense.
When you own or lease a fleet of company cars, they’re always putting a drain on your finances. Even when they’re not in use (95% of the time). Some of the expenses attached to company cars include:
- Parking.
- Fuel.
- Insurance.
- Repairs.
- Maintenance.
- Tolls.
On top of this, corporate ground travel has historically been a challenge to track. You can’t be sure that the vehicle and fuel are being used entirely for work purposes (which is highly unlikely).
By taking a new approach to business travel with Bolt Business, you only pay for transport when your employees need it — it’s the best way to know that your entire travel budget goes towards work purposes.
How to work out your total cost of business travel
As you can see from the list of outgoings attached to company cars, these are all variables — fuel prices can go up at any time, and you can’t plan for unexpected repair bills.
Having such uncertainty over your total cost of business travel doesn’t put your company in a strong position in terms of finances. With Bolt Business, you can set specific spending limits for your team’s business travel costs so you know exactly how much your team can spend each month.
