About the role

We're looking for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our Finance Technology team as an intern. In this role, you'll work with databases, automate financial processes, and help build analytical controls over financials to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

This is a great chance to explore the synergy between finance and technology, working with real data to drive impactful decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Supporting the development of innovative analytical controls to monitor and enhance financial accuracy and consistency.
Contributing to the recovery and reconstruction of key financial data points, ensuring completeness and reliability.
Writing and optimising SQL queries to extract, analyse, and validate financial data for reporting and decision-making.
Collaborating with finance and tech teams to improve data workflows, automation, and reporting efficiency.
Assisting in the analysis and reconciliation of financial discrepancies across systems and databases.
Participating in the development and maintenance of automated systems that streamline financial processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
What we expect
About you:
You are currently studying or have a background in a data-related field and are eager to apply your skills to real-world challenges (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or similar).
You have solid, hands-on experience with SQL and feel comfortable writing queries independently.
You’ve worked with databases before and are motivated to expand your understanding of data structures (nice to have).
You’re curious about finance and accounting, whether through academic studies, personal interest, or a previous internship (a plus, but not required).
You love working with data, have strong analytical skills, and enjoy solving problems with a structured approach.
You’re eager to learn, grow and explore new tools while making a meaningful contribution in a collaborative and technology-driven environment.
Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
