Staff Product Analyst, Rides Marketplace Matching

We are looking for an experienced Staff Product Analyst to join our Matching team in the Rides Marketplace product group to innovate and optimise how we match riders and drivers on our platform, which makes millions of rides happen every day across 50+ countries!

About the role

As a catalyst for discovery, you will dive deep into our matching strategy. You will solve business problems in our real-time marketplace by identifying new opportunities, contributing to new features and levelling up existing ones. You will have an opportunity to apply your expertise in experimentation, causal inference and microeconomics to optimally match demand and supply in an innovative and challenging environment.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Discovering high-value opportunities by deep-diving into what drives successful matching and building a deep understanding of user behaviour and business context to steer the matching strategy
Informing feature delivery by analysing performance, identifying points of improvement and designing new solutions that deliver measurable business impact
Owning and enforcing A/B testing best practices end-to-end: Validating features, designing and analysing experiments and making sure we take action; including designing, implementing and owning relevant and actionable metrics to make better and faster decisions
Leading and owning the conceptualisation and development of analytical solutions such as marketplace simulations or self-service data products
Closely collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers and Data Scientists to build, prioritise and execute our roadmap; and building relationships across domains and functions to optimise workflows and processes across the full data and product development lifecycle
Setting the benchmark for excellence and best practices to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation and driving the growth of other analysts through coaching
What we expect
About you:
You hold a university degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management or similar studies
You have 5+ years of experience working in Product Analytics and/or Data Science
You rank your SQL skills as “outstanding” & Python/R skills as “profound”, and you have experience with BI tools and data visualisation
You have strong business acumen, an entrepreneurial mindset and possess outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to decompose complex solutions and insights into a clear narrative
You have an advanced understanding of end-to-end A/B testing, including some knowledge of concepts such as time-based testing or other causal inference methods
You are confident in applying principles of microeconomics in practice and have a solid understanding of supervised machine-learning models
