Senior Android Engineer (Mobile Platform)
Our Mobile Platform team is building the backbone that powers Bolt’s mobile applications. We’re seeking a talented Senior Android Engineer to join forces with us and play an important role in shaping our Android platform.

About the role
As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll set the standard for mobile developers and enhance their performance through tooling and infrastructure, enabling the entire mobile organization to move faster and build better. What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining shared platform components and infrastructure.
Leading platform initiatives such as CI/CD pipeline improvements, large-scale platform migrations, and design system adoption.
Working with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver actionable platform reports to ensure adoption of platform standards and resolve long-standing technical issues.
Ensuring platform compliance with accessibility requirements and leading migration away from legacy systems.
Guiding proof-of-concept projects, evaluating alternative solutions, and addressing technical challenges.
Supporting the design system by developing new UI components and promoting consistent usage across platforms.
What we expect
About you:
Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
5+ years of experience in Android development.
Proficiency in Kotlin, familiarity with shared codebases or libraries.
Strong expertise in mobile CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and performance monitoring.
Track record of driving infrastructure and platform improvements.
You write clean, simple, secure and maintainable code, and mentor others to do the same.
