Bolt Engineering

You'll work end-to-end on data science problems that directly influence Bolt's marketplace - with millions of customers daily across 50+ countries. Your work will range from exploratory analysis and experiment design to building, deploying, and monitoring predictive models in production. You'll identify opportunities through data, validate them through rigorous experiments, and take solutions from research to real-world impact. This is a high-ownership role embedded in a cross-functional product team: you'll partner closely with engineers, product managers, and operations to make sure insights don't stop at a slide deck.

In this role, you will drive assigned routes in the city, observe the vehicle and its equipment, and report issues or anomalies. You will also help us build a reliable foundation for future operations.

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Android Engineer to join the RiderX New Demand team. This is a cross-functional team within the rider experience domain, consisting of Backend and Mobile Engineers, QA Engineers, Product Owner, Product Analyst, and Product Designer. The team is at the forefront of innovation, driving the development of new products tailored to untapped demand segments while continuously expanding our existing user base through seamless, diverse, and forward-thinking transportation solutions. By identifying emerging mobility needs and creating compelling new experiences, the team plays a key role in shaping the future of urban transportation. In this role, you’ll work on high-impact product challenges that directly affect Bolt users worldwide. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA to deliver a world-class Rider app experience. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own Android features end-to-end, influence technical direction, and help raise the bar for engineering excellence across the Android platform. Our tech stack: Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, Dagger 2, Retrofit , Glide, Room.

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer based in Tallinn, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and deploying Bolt's growing backend systems, mostly via coding in Node.js and TypeScript (no prior Node.js experience needed). You'll work on unique product challenges including complex algorithms for demand prediction, optimal real-time pricing, routing, fraud detection, and distributed systems, collaborating closely with key internal stakeholders to scalably design backend systems and APIs.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and deploying Bolt's growing backend systems. That will mostly happen via coding in Node.js and TypeScript (PS: no previous experience with Node.js is needed). You will be closely collaborating with key internal stakeholders to determine how to scalably design backend systems and APIs to meet their needs.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Finance Data Warehouse team. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements and data, building data models, aggregates, pipelines and integrations; and developing metrics, reports and dashboards in the Finance and Commerce domain.

As a Senior Engineering Manager for Productivity & Internal Tools, you will lead 3 teams inside Bolt's Foundation Platform org — owning the internal developer platform, AI, and productivity systems the whole company builds on. This is a leadership role where the craft shifts to leading through Engineering Managers rather than ICs: you set technical direction, the operating model for delivery, and own the group's staffing, strategy, and long-term health with an impact horizon of 12+ months.

We seek a proactive and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team in Tallinn/Tartu Office in Estonia. You will collaborate closely with Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to ensure high-quality outcomes, taking ownership of the QA process, supporting quality standards, and contributing to efficient testing practices.

Bolt's SRE Database Reliability team plays a foundational role across all Bolt’s business verticals, directly impacting the quality, resilience, and performance of all services and product lines at scale. Working with a cutting-edge distributed database stack, the team operates in a high-load, high–data-volume environment where each member can make a significant, company-wide impact. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Bolt, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly reliable and scalable systems infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, performance optimization, and continuous improvement. The SRE Database Reliability team plays a foundational role across all Bolt's business verticals, operating in a high-load, high-data-volume environment where each member can make a significant, company-wide impact.

Engineers in the Insights team play a key role in shaping Bolt’s data ecosystem. We own the infrastructure that reliably delivers quality data wherever it’s needed. Data specialists use the tools we build to model and transform raw data into reusable, analysis-ready datasets. We work across the stack - developer tools and frameworks with Python; managing infrastructure with AWS, Terraform, Databricks, and Kubernetes; automations with GitHub Actions and Airflow. We own some data pipelines, but they're not our primary focus.
