Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SREDO team)

Bolt engineering teams are working on unique product challenges – complex algorithms for demand prediction, optimal real-time pricing, routing, fraud detection, distributed systems, and much more. Volumes are constantly growing.

Our reliability teams are dealing with a range of different challenges, from managing our services that keep Bolt backend services running to optimizing our cloud infrastructure

The SREDO (Deployments and Observability) team is responsible for service deployments and observability of services and costs.

About the role

Our Site Reliability Engineers in the Deployments and Observability team are working to ensure we have tooling to build robust pipelines and have a good understanding of what is happening within our infrastructure.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Developing automation and implementing internal systems.
Participating in architectural discussions to select the best long-term solution.
Implementation of new systems and tuning of existing ones to enable better reliability, availability, scalability, or reduce costs.
Troubleshooting production system issues.
Collaborating with other reliability and software development engineers.
Participating in on-call activities for the most critical parts of the infrastructure, helping to solve incidents in a no-blaming culture.
What we expect
About you:
You have in-depth knowledge of pipelines and observability solutions.
You have a solid understanding of Linux troubleshooting, including networking, filesystems, security, and the kernel.
You have a solid understanding of large-scale distributed systems.
You are experienced with AWS services such as EC2 and EKS.
You have experience with infrastructure automation tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.
You are a team player, with good communication skills, that works well with others in the group and the rest of the organization.
