Operations Manager

As an Operations Manager, you will oversee Bolt’s micromobility operations in Germany, focusing on Düsseldorf and Cologne. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, leading local teams, managing external partners, driving business growth and profitability, while ensuring our users have a great experience.

About the role

This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution — you will own operational performance, maximize fleet availability, and drive efficiency while ensuring compliance and excellent user experience.

You'll work closely with the local Maintenance team, Operations Specialists, and HQ teams, including Customer Support, Central Operations, Legal and Marketing, to address any issues related to operations or products.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Manage all Bolt’s scooter operations in Düsseldorf & Cologne
Streamlining operations by creating and optimising standardised processes to increase efficiency and resolve operational challenges.
Tracking and improving key operational KPIs such as fleet availability, rider satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Supporting the development of effective strategies to enhance our fleet's value proposition and improve performance and retention.
Directly managing a team, ensuring clear priorities, accountability, and strong performance.
Ensuring compliance with all regulations and keeping relevant stakeholders informed of any changes or updates.
What we expect
About you:
3+ years of experience in operations, ideally in tech or startup environments.
Strong analytical skills with excellent Excel proficiency.
You have excellent communication skills in both German and English.
Proven experience managing teams and external partners.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and solve complex operational challenges.
You are a self-starter who proactively finds solutions to business challenges.
