Operations Specialist
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and solutions-driven Operations Specialist with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills to take ownership of our local ride-hailing operations.

About the role
As an Operations Specialist, you’ll be involved in managing our business operations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ultimately taking ownership as a marketplace manager. You will have full ownership of metrics and forecasts, and analyse quantitative & qualitative data from various sources while defining and executing strategy.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Review core metrics, form bonds with key partners and execute on supply-, demand- and investment strategies
.
Support airport demand conversion, helping drivers maximize high-value trips.
Create, optimise or even remove processes – efficiency is our priority; you will help us find the smoothest way to run operations, solve challenges where others turn away, and influence the way Hopp is going in the future.
Hands-on supply management - working autonomously and taking initiatives through the stages of driver acquisition, conversion, activation and retention.
Taking ownership over projects which contribute to our overall market performance and operational efficiency with the main goal to get Hopp rides in Canada to the next level.
What we expect
About you:
Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
You have 2+ years of experience in Operations, Startup or other relevant organisations, ideally with experience in analytic tasks.
You are a strong collaborator with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English (mandatory) and French (preferred).
You are highly analytical and have a data-driven mindset with excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills, yet are not afraid to get your hands dirty if needed.
You love to have ownership and are not afraid of managing multi-million dollar cities.
You are passionate about new technologies and ride-hailing.
You have a strong motivation to solve problems creatively and efficiently.
