Senior Public Policy Manager, Italy

We are looking for a Senior Public Policy Manager – based in Italy (Milan) who will lead Bolt’s regulatory and public affairs strategy across one of our key European markets. This role sits at the intersection of mobility, technology, and public policy, supporting Bolt’s growth across ride-hailing, micromobility, carsharing, and delivery services.Location: Milano, Italy

About the role

This position is responsible for shaping and executing Bolt’s public policy strategy in Italy, navigating complex national and local regulatory environments while safeguarding business operations and future investments. You will act as the primary point of contact for policy matters in the market, working closely with local leadership and European policy teams to anticipate legislative developments and drive impactful engagement. The Senior Public Policy Manager will play a central role in influencing policy outcomes, building strong institutional relationships, and positioning Bolt as a trusted and responsible mobility partner.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Regulatory Strategy: Identify, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory risks affecting Bolt’s operations.
Public Affairs Execution: Design and deliver advocacy strategies with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, NGOs, and industry bodies.
Representation: Act as Bolt’s representative in meetings with public authorities and key external stakeholders.
Policy Development: Draft position papers, consultation responses, and advocacy materials to support business priorities.
Market Coordination: Partner with local and European teams to align policy strategy with commercial objectives.

About you:

Public policy expertise: Strong experience influencing legislation, regulation, or administrative processes.
Industry exposure: Background in tech, transport, or another highly regulated sector (in-house, public sector, or consultancy).
Regulatory knowledge: Understanding of legislative processes and how they impact business operations.
Stakeholder management: Ability to build, maintain, and leverage effective policy networks.
Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex issues clearly.
Personal profile: Confident, resilient, and organised, with strong business acumen; fluent in Italian and English.
