Paying Your Commission
Bolt collects commission in all markets where we operate.
In Kenya we charge a commission rate of 18% on every trip price.
To cover the VAT on payments (July 2022), there is a 5% Booking Fee charged directly to the passenger which should also be remitted to Bolt. Please note this fee is included as part of the final ride price and should not affect your earnings.

Important Information about Commission
Commission applies to both cash and card trips.
Commission does not apply to tips, bonuses, toll fees, cancellation fees, or booking fees
Commission will be calculated automatically and reflect directly in your app.
Failure to pay commission will results in your cash trip option being temporarily suspended due to debt.
You can ONLY take card trips meanwhile.
