The application process for Professional Driving Permits
To drive on a public road in South Africa transporting goods, dangerous goods, or passengers for income, you must have a professional driving permit (PrDP).
What are the requirements?
Medical certificate: depending on the health care provider, the costs ranges from R200 - R300
PrDP application fee: R324
Temporary PrDP application fee: R84
Department of Transport Afiswitch traffic offences criminal record check: R110
Total cost: R768 (based on medical cost of R250)

Now that you know what is needed to apply for your PrDP, you will need to make a booking on the eNatis website.
