Safety features
Your safety is important. Use these tools to stay safe on every trip.
Emergency Button
- If you feel unsafe, tap the Emergency button. Help will be contacted and Bolt will call you. Audio Recording
- You can record during a trip. Send the recording to Support if needed. It deletes after 24 hours.
Rider Rating
- Check the rider’s rating before accepting. Low rating can mean problems. You can choose to reject. No Match Again
- If you rate a rider low, you will not get that rider again.
Rider Verification
- Some riders must upload ID and take a selfie. This helps remove fake or risky riders. Unsafe Area Alert
- If a trip is in a risky area, you will see a warning. You can reject the trip with no penalty. Conduct Awareness
- Be respectful and professional . Avoid talking about politics or sexual topics, and don’t overly compliment riders.
Trip Safety Check
- If something looks wrong during a trip, the app will ask if you are okay.
- If not safe, use the Emergency button.
Rate Riders
- Always rate riders. This helps remove bad riders from the platform. Share Trip
- You can share your trip with family or friends so they can track you. Bad rider management
- Riders with low ratings, frequent no-shows, or high cancellation rates may be blocked from the platform. Driver Behaviour
- Be polite and respectful
- Do not argue with riders
- Avoid talking about politics or sexual topics
- Keep the trip professional

Important FAQs about Safety
If the system detects an issue during a trip, both the driver and rider will receive a notification asking if they need assistance..


When you see the alert, you have an option to either accept or reject the trip without being penalized.
If you do accept the trip, you are expected to complete it.
If you reject, your Acceptance rate and Driver-score will not be affected.

Reach out to Bolt through your App to report the incident.
Depending on the issue, you will be advised of the necessary steps to take for a successful claim.
- Click the shield icon
- Click Audio recording and start the recording
- If you intend to share the recording with Bolt support, after the trip, open the trip, send the file with Bolt and include an explanation of what you are reporting
