Bolt's Got You Covered!
In every market we serve, Bolt ensures commission collection is a breeze.
In South Africa Bolt takes 24% commission (VAT included). The rider pays a 5% booking fee.
How the 24% Commission Works From each trip: 21% is Bolt’s service fee 3% is VAT (tax) Total = 24% Bolt pays the VAT
Example If a trip fare is R100: R21 goes to Bolt (service fee) R3 goes to VAT The operator keeps: R76 Total commission = R24
Rider Booking Fee (5%) The rider pays the booking fee It is not taken from the operator
Example: Trip fare: R100 Booking fee: R5 (paid by rider) Rider pays R105 Operator earnings are still R76
