Strategy & Operations Manager

Bolt Food is looking for a Strategy and Operations Manager to discover, drive and oversee improvements across Latvia's operations. This person will closely collaborate with the General Manager in driving operational excellence, financial modeling, data analysis, strategic decision-making, and project management.

Please note that this is a full-time permanent employment opportunity. The monthly gross salary for this role ranges from €2500 - €3800 and will depend on your skills, knowledge, and experience.

About the role

As a Strategy & Operations Manager, your goal is to drive both the strategic direction and operational excellence of the country’s food delivery operations. Oversee, discover and drive improvements across country operations. You will play a key role in shaping the overall business strategy while ensuring that day-to-day operations align with and support broader objectives. Acting as a key partner to the General Manager, you will focus on driving growth, making data-driven decisions, and managing projects that enhance operational efficiency and strategic outcomes.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute country-level strategies that support both short- and long-term growth in food delivery. Work with leadership to shape the direction of the business by analyzing market trends, competitive positioning, and internal capabilities to make informed strategic decisions that drive the business forward.
Right Hand of the General Manager: Act as a strategic partner to the General Manager, providing analytical insights, business modeling, and recommendations for high-stakes decisions. Assist with complex financial and operational decisions that shape the long-term growth trajectory of the business.
Data-driven: Leverage business and data analysis to inform strategic decisions. Analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for strategic improvements and operational efficiency. Use data insights to design and implement strategies that optimize operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
Improving operations: Scale and improve country operations by reviewing current workflows and defining new processes that align with the strategic goals of the business. Oversee merchant operations, onboarding, and content quality while tackling challenges like pricing optimization, fraud reduction, and timely delivery—all with a focus on aligning with the overall strategy and driving sustainable growth.
Own and deliver key operational and strategic objectives: Set and achieve key targets by aligning day-to-day operations with strategic objectives. Ensure that country operations meet both performance and growth targets by maintaining a sharp focus on operational excellence and strategic outcomes. Proactively report on KPIs and adjust strategies as needed.
Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management: Lead and manage the operations team while collaborating with other departments such as marketing, sales, and finance to ensure a unified approach to executing the strategic vision. Foster strong partnerships with external stakeholders to expand the business and improve operations, ensuring alignment with both local and central strategic initiatives.
What we expect
About you:
You hold a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
You have several years of experience in operations, consultancy, business development, or analytics, with exposure to financial modeling, strategic planning, and team management.
You are a strategic thinker with advanced data analysis and financial modeling skills. You are adept at solving complex problems and analyzing large datasets to drive business insights.
You are a self-starter who proactively finds solutions to business challenges and takes ownership of projects from start to finish.
You are able to work optimally in a matrix environment driving cross-functional collaboration with excellent organizational and project management skills.
You have excellent communication skills in both Latvian and English.
