General Manager

We're looking for a forward-thinking and experienced General Manager to launch and take charge of our Bolt Food vertical and drive its growth in Bulgaria. In this dynamic and hands-on role, you’ll focus on leading and developing a high-performing team that drives business growth and profitability while ensuring our users have a fantastic experience.

About the role

As a Country Manager, you’ll lead all local operations, including devising strategies and managing P&L, sales, account management, and merchant and courier operations. You’ll define and achieve business goals to drive growth and maximise profitability while considering our customers needs.

Additionally, you’ll be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with external stakeholders and be the main point of contact between our business and regulators, government officials, and local communities.

Internally, you'll work closely with the Regional Manager and HQ teams, including Product, Public Relations, Growth Analytics, Central Operations, Marketing, Regulatory, and Customer Support, to address any issues related to operations or products.

What you can expect
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Taking ownership of Bolt's growth by building, leading and developing a high-performing team and ensuring local Operations and HQ teams actively support and collaborate to meet business goals.
Leading the financial and strategic planning process, taking complete ownership of the P&L statement, and ensuring we make the best data-driven decisions.
Creating streamlined procedures and scalable processes to ensure efficient business operations and boost productivity and profitability.
Overseeing the business performance and ensuring legal compliance and ethical standards in cooperation with various internal stakeholders.
Expanding Bolt's presence and elevating our brand, product, and service by establishing strategic business partnerships and working closely with local authorities.
Identifying trends, risks, and mitigation or improvement opportunities that may impact the business and working closely with Bolt's Country Managers to improve overall business performance.
What we expect
About you:
You have at least 7 years of experience in Strategic Operations, Consulting, General Management, or a related field and have repeatedly shown your ability to drive business growth and bring expertise in P&L management.
You have proven experience managing and developing large teams, are fluent in English and Bulgarian, possess strong negotiation and communication skills, and can easily network and build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You demonstrate a highly data-driven, analytical mindset, and you can examine data to optimise your team's activities and identify patterns and trends within the data.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, easily overcoming obstacles and adapting quickly to change.
Your hands-on work demonstrates a high level of initiative in actively seeking solutions to challenges and a strong sense of ownership.
You’re passionate about new technologies and shared mobility and are used to creating business frameworks that are a foundation for your strategies and decisions.
