Working closely with the Product and Operations teams, our Marketing team is responsible for bringing the Bolt brand to life. From managing media coverage and ensuring the visibility and consistency of our brand all over the globe to user acquisition and retention — the marketing team covers all bases.
Our teams
The Distribution team is responsible for partnering with external companies to distribute Bolt products via scalable and efficient co-marketing collaborations. We cooperate with various internal and external teams to evaluate, launch, and optimise our campaigns with a focus on high ROI.
The Brand team is Bolt’s in-house creative and branding agency. Comprising Brand, Social, Design, and Influencers teams, it conceptualises and produces global (and sometimes local) campaigns.
People are bombarded with information every day. How we stand out is a question that the PR team deals with. The team consists of three sections: PR, Internal Communications, and Employer Branding. We share Bolt’s story and build and protect our reputation on a global and local level. We develop key messages, build media strategy, launch internal and external campaigns, and work closely with stakeholders.
The Marketing Technology team focuses on building tools for marketing teams for A/B testing or running natural experiments on a scale of 1,000+ marketing campaigns across every Bolt vertical. We also optimise marketing budgets for 100+ cities across multiple channels — digital ads, local campaigns, and branding placements. We work closely with partners and marketing science teams in Meta, Google, and TikTok.
When operating across 45 countries, success is determined by our ability to quickly acquire and apply local knowledge. The job of local marketing is to understand these cultural differences, presenting the Bolt brand in a way that will resonate. We rely on a combination of cultural and analytical expertise, collaborating with other teams to implement and optimise cross-channel campaigns that deliver growth.
Our team is responsible for user acquisition across all business verticals. We co-manage technical implementation between data sources, analytic tools, and ad platforms and collaborate with other in-house teams in ad creative planning and production. We optimise hundreds of ad campaigns across the major ad platforms and run A/B tests to improve results.
Online Presence is a cross-functional team ultimately responsible for optimising Bolt’s digital presence. The team’s remit covers multi-channel content production, copy quality assurance, localisation, app store management and optimisation (ASO), organic search optimisation (SEO), and web development.
Lifecycle Marketing is responsible for automated communications sent to our 100+ million users via different transaction channels based on user behaviour. In total, the team sends 4 billion pings per year. The goal is to increase conversion and retention. For example, riders taking their first ride, drivers finishing registration, and eaters making their first order.
