Valid driving licence with 2 years of experience

A single photo of your passport or 2 photos of both sides of your ID or residence permit.

Valid permit for the carriage of passengers issued by LTSA. To receive a LTSA permit, you have to meet the requirements described below and in this link.

We suggest starting the registration even if you don’t have a car or LTSA permit. We’ll help you with that.
LTSA permit requirements
Requirements for a person:
-
Valid driving licence* issued in the EU, EEA, NATO countries, Switzerland, or Ukraine, with more than 2 years of driving experience.

Individual activity certificate issued by VMI (code 493300 “Užsakomojo keleivių vežimo transporto priemone su samdomu vairuotoju veikla”).
-
Impeccable reputation.**

Medical certificate from the National Addictions Center (RPLC).
-
No debts to the state.
* From 1 January 2025, a Lithuanian driving licence won’t be valid if a driver has no valid medical certificate. The status of a medical certificate can be checked here. Read more at www.regitra.lt
**Impeccable reputation means that you:
-
Have never been convicted of a (very) serious crime or have the conviction expunged or annulled.
-
Have served the imposed sentence if you were convicted of a criminal misdemeanour.
-
Have no alcohol or other substance abuse or addiction.
Requirements for the vehicle:
-
Technical inspection must have been completed at least 6 months (for cars manufactured 5+ years ago) or 12 months (for cars manufactured less than 5 years ago) before the application submission.

A valid civil liability insurance policy required to provide ride-hailing services.
-
If you don’t own the vehicle you drive, you must provide a rental or lease agreement.

The fastest way to receive an LTSA

Register for Individual Activity using the activity code 493300;
-
Request a certificate from the National Addictions Center (RPLC) online and download it from esveikata.lt;
-
If needed, register for and complete a technical inspection for your vehicle;
-
If the vehicle is not registered in your name, sign a rental agreement;

Acquire mandatory civil liability insurance from our partner, Edrauda. Just contact us at lithuania-signup@bolt-drivers.com.
Once you have all the required documents, apply for the LTSA permit online (step-by-step guide) or offline in one of the LTSA offices. You’ll hear from LTSA in 10 business days after applying.
When you receive the LTSA permit, upload it to your registration form or email it to lithuania-signup@bolt-drivers.com, and you can go online within 1 business day! ​
Bolt requirements for the vehicle

It must be registered in Lithuania.

It must be technically sound and clean both inside and out.

It must have at least 4 doors and 5 seats.

It cannot display distinctive taxi markings.

The licence plate format must be ABC 123 (unless the vehicle is registered as a taxi).

Notice to Foreign Drivers
To ensure great quality rides to customers, drivers must know English or Lithuanian on a sufficient level to communicate with passengers. Therefore, you might be requested to provide a language skills certificate.​
One more thing before you go online
Please note that you need to have 2 driver’s badges on your car:

One — in the lower right corner of the front window, and another —in the upper right corner of the rear window.

They must be visible from the outside and have your individual activity certificate number written on it.

Each badge must be at least 10cm × 10cm.

Important FAQs about becoming a Bolt driver

LTSA officers asked me for documentation regarding my driver activity on the platform. What should I provide?Here is a list of documents that drivers must present to LTSA officers during the inspection, as well as information on the form in which you must carry each document with you: Driver's license (original document); Car registration certificate (original document); *Compulsory vehicle technical inspection results report (document original); Compulsory insurance certificate-policy for the civil liability of vehicle owners (original or electronic version of the document); Certificate of individual activity: activity no. 493900 (document original or electronic version); A document (certificate or transcript) issued by the Department of Informatics and Communications under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania at least one year ago regarding convictions and non-convictions (original or electronic version of the document); Medical certificate issued by the Republican Center for Addiction Diseases at least one year ago (original or electronic version of the document); Permit for the carriage of passengers for remuneration by passenger cars (electronic version); **A document confirming that the carrier legally owns the vehicle, if the vehicle does not belong to the carrier (original document). *For cars that are used to carry out the activity of transporting passengers for a fee to order, a mandatory technical inspection must be carried out: 1) every 6 months, if their duration of operation from the first registration date is 5 years or more; 2) every 12 months, if their duration of operation from the date of first registration is up to 5 years. **If you don't own the car - also have a rental agreement with you! LTSA officials will also ask you to provide documentation to prove your ride activity on the platform. When requested to provide the documents listed below, you must show an active driver account / information on the Driver Portal: Receipts for receiving money, if payments were made in cash ("Passenger invoices" section of the driver's portal); Data on contracts concluded by the carrier with passengers for the carriage of passengers for remuneration (driver's app); Cooperation agreement between the carrier and the passenger transport organizer (driver's app).

How can I recognise LTSA officials?While on duty, LTSA officers must wear a uniform and a bright yellow vest with an attached personal identifier. On the front of the vest, on the left side, at the height of the chest and in the center of the back, there is an inscription. Please follow this link for more information.
