New Bets is the team that decides what Bolt does next. We put an idea for a new business in front of real buyers and find out fast whether it deserves to exist. Several of those ideas are B2B — platforms we built to run our own business and could sell to others, plus partnerships in sectors we don't operate in yet. All of them stall at the same question: will an enterprise buyer pay for this? Nobody at Bolt owns that answer today. That's the job. You take one bet at a time, build the pipeline from nothing, get to the people who make the decision, and come back with a verdict the company can act on. Validate it and a new business line starts. Invalidate it and we stop — worth exactly as much. Come back with the precise reason a deal was lost and we pivot, then win on the second attempt; those reasons are the most valuable thing you collect. Few people in this profession are ever rewarded for shutting something down. Industry changes every three to six months. One senior person covers unusually broad ground here: you set your own targets, build your own commercial motion, and answer for the verdict rather than for a monthly number. If you want to run a proven playbook, this will frustrate you. If you want to be there at the inception of a business — before the product, the price or the team exist — this is that seat.

We’re looking for a Head of Operations Excellence to own and scale how Operations runs across Bolt’s Rides business. You’ll build the systems, standards, and automation that make our driver, fleet, and market operations faster, leaner, and more reliable, so Bolt can grow without adding complexity or cost. If you love turning strategy into simple, scalable execution, this role is for you. As Head of Operations Excellence, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and institutionalising world‑class operational standards across Bolt’s Rides business. You will act as the system builder for Operations – defining how work gets done, how performance is measured, and how we reduce complexity as we expand into more markets. You will turn multi‑year strategic priorities into concrete, scalable operational programmes across drivers, vehicles, and fleets. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Growth Analytics, Finance, and Local Operations, you will drive a step‑change in automation, cost efficiency, and execution quality across our core operational processes. Performance management at Bolt is not an HR process. It is the mechanism that decides where the company invests in people: who gets stretch assignments, who gets promoted, whose work gets recognized and rewarded. Done badly, it produces rubber-stamped ratings that tell nobody anything. Done well, it becomes a decision-making tool the whole business trusts, and the reason strong performers know their work is seen. This role owns that mechanism end to end. Reporting to the VP of People & Workplace, you will build the analytical infrastructure that lets Bolt make faster, better-informed decisions about talent, and you will be the person senior leaders come to when they need a defensible answer on where performance is strongest and what it means commercially.
