Financial Automation is a newly formed team within the Revenue Assurance group, sitting at the intersection of engineering, finance, and commercial operations. We build and own the systems that automate critical financial processes — fiscalization (tax reporting), e-invoicing, and other financial flows — directly impacting Bolt's global financial operations and regulatory compliance across markets. As a Backend Engineer, you'll be a founding member of the team, designing, building and launching backend solutions for a brand-new domain. You'll architect, build, and launch the backend platforms that power Bolt's financial automation — coding mainly in Node.js and TypeScript (don't worry, you don't need to know Node.js beforehand!). You'll partner closely with Finance, Commerce, and Product stakeholders to translate complex regulatory and operational needs into scalable backend systems and APIs Bolt depends on. Product-oriented thinking is deeply ingrained in our engineering team's approach, so you'll have the chance to shape and lead initiatives end-to-end.

You'll work end-to-end on data science problems that directly influence Bolt's marketplace - with millions of customers daily across 50+ countries. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of high-performing engineers in Tallinn responsible for the critical statistical parts of the Driver Apps. You’ll tackle complex architectural and scaling challenges for providing the smoothest possible UX for drivers, supported by flexible backend solutions to cover all the potential cases of the local markets and regulations.

As a Principal Safety Engineer, you will be the guardian of safety integrity across our SAE Level 4 Autonomous Product and the broader robotaxi ecosystem. You will own the complete, end-to-end L4 safety case—from hazard analysis (HARA) and operational design domain (ODD) definition through to system design, verification, and regulatory approval. Crucially, you will ensure that L4 product safety requirements and rigor extend throughout the entire lifecycle of robotaxi operations, guaranteeing seamless safety continuity from initial product development to live, on-road fleet service. This is not a compliance checkbox role; you will carry accountability that matters. You will shape how safety is embedded across the organisation and the robotaxi ecosystem, influencing fail-operational system architecture, operational workflows, engineering practices, and decision-making at every level. You will work closely with engineering, product, fleet operations, and regulatory stakeholders to define what "safe enough" means for autonomous urban mobility—and ensure it is rigorously achieved, defended, and maintained across ongoing fleet operations.

As a Safety Operator (Driver) you are the human guardian of every autonomous test drive. You sit in the driver's seat of our self-driving vehicles, monitor the autonomous system continuously, take over manual control the instant it is needed, and give engineers the precise, structured feedback that makes the technology safer. Safety is the first and last consideration in everything you do.
