The Internal Products and Processes team designs and builds internal software products for Bolt from scratch. Our portfolio spans people and organisational products, platform automation, and the AI tooling that lets any team at Bolt automate cross-system work and build with AI safely. Most of what we build is developed in-house because off-the-shelf tools do not fit Bolt's scale, internal systems, or way of working. That means real research and development: integrating with internal data platforms, designing access-control models, and building capabilities that do not exist in the tools we use today. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and deploying our backend systems. That will mostly happen via coding in Node.js and TypeScript (PS: no previous experience with Node.js is needed). You will also work on our AI products, where the consumers of your work are as often agents as they are people. You will collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders across Bolt (People, Legal, Finance, Engineering, and others) to determine how to design backend systems and APIs at scale to meet their needs.
